Central Avenue Gets Electric Car Charging Stations

Two Blink electric vehicle charging stations have been installed courtesy of ECOtality’s The EV Project at 4700 N. Central Ave.  These stations will offer customers a convenient place to charge their electric vehicles (EVs) while they are shopping, working or dining. These two Blink chargers are a part of The EV Project, a public-private partnership funded in part by the Department of Energy aimed at reducing the use of fossil fuels, providing better air quality and encouraging clean technology.

We’re very excited about this new amenity,” said Jenifer Lunt, partner at Davis Enterprises.  “It’s an enhancement to our tenant’s customers and the best part is we’re doing something that is good for the environment. Davis Enterprises is always looking for ways to embrace and implement eco-friendly projects at our developments.”

ECOtality’s Blink Network allows drivers on the road to locate the nearest charging station, making it easy to plug in and charge.  Drivers will soon be able to reserve a Blink charging station ahead of time using the Blink Network.

Looking for a great realtor?

We are so pleased to announce our latest tenant! Nicholas Yale of Realty Executives is one of the top real estate agents in the Valley. In fact, he is in the top 10% of Realty Executives International. He has opened his own Realty Executives Satellite branch in our complex and is very excited for this new venture.

He said, “I am so excited about this space! The energy of the complex, the rush of the light rail, the bustle of the restaurant, it is exactly what I was looking for in a premium office space.”

Nicholas specializes in residential real estate. Single family homes, small condominiums to large estates, he has sold them all. He has sold homes in all parts of the Valley. He enjoys being a listing agent working with sellers to price their home and market it correctly, but his passion is working with buyers.

He noted, “There is nothing better than handing a first time or last time homeowner their keys at closing. The look in their eye of excitement and fear is a true moment of joy for me.”

Nicholas is very active in the community he serves, serving on many charity boards, leadership counsels and always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. His slogan is “Recognized. Respected. Recommended.” and it truly shows in his business and personal actions.

a.ware Opens on Central Ave.

Our newest tenant adds creativity and fun to 4700 N. Central Ave. For the past four years, Julie Hampton & Carol Panaro-Smith have been selling local, handcrafted goods out of a home studio. And they’ve built quite a following!

Earlier this month, Julie opened a.ware, the first store, next door to Lola’s Coffee, a hot spot on Central and Highland Avenues. a.ware features must-have items such as soap, jewelry, cards, books, hand-knit scarves/hats, bath/body products, wallets, handbags, screen-printed onesies and more. Most products come from Arizona artists, however they aren’t afraid to support artists from as far away as Italy (where Julie and Carol host an art retreat) and South Korea (where Julie’s husband was born).

The store also has studio space where they can host do-it-yourself (DIY) workshops for kids and adults alike. January and February workshops will feature knitting, leather and felted cuffs and resin pendants. (You’d better sign up quickly because their workshops always fill up!)

Next time you’re in the neighborhood or getting a cup of coffee at Lola’s make sure to stop in and enjoy this hidden gem. It’s a unique shop where you can purchase beautiful gifts for just about anyone!

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Tuesday – Sunday at 4700 North Central Avenue, Suite 101. Phone: 602-262-2092
